Molten Magic: Fire & Wax Masterpiece Workshops (1/2 Day)

We heard you, and we're thrilled to announce three brand-new encaustic art masterpiece workshops this summer! Each half-day workshop is designed to immerse you in important and specific encaustic techniques, ensuring you'll complete a beautiful, finished piece ready to take home and display. We have designed these three workshops to feature different techniques towards learning and practicing the basics of encaustic painting.  

These engaging classes offer 2.5 hours of instruction and include all the materials needed to create an 8x10 framed original work of art. You'll work with beeswax paint, combined with real fire and flame, to produce a truly gorgeous and unique piece. No experience is necessary, and we warmly welcome participants aged 15 and up.

• Where: WORKSHOP 1530 Stittsville Main St UNIT D, Ottawa, ON K2S 1N7
• When:
  • Blueberry Glaze: Sunday, July 13, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM (Highlighted techniques include; painting with coloured wax, shading with wax). 
  • Spirit & Soil: Sunday, July 27, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM (Highlighted techniques include; image transfer into wax, adding colour atop the wax). 
  • Raven's Gold: Sunday, September 14, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM      (Highlighted techniques include; painting with wax, fine collage, gold leaf inclusions). 
• Cost: $199 + HST per workshop, which includes all materials and supplies.

Please mark your calendars! We'll do our best to send a reminder email or text a week before your workshop, but consider your spot confirmed even if you don't hear from us. While we can't offer refunds, you're welcome to transfer your seat to another person if you're unable to attend.
